GLUE VERSES STICKY VELCRO TAPE
So, I decided I wanted to hang a new mirror in the rv bathroom, but when we tried to remove the old mirror we quickly learned that it had been glued to the wall. Ron's first response to this knowledge was to leave well enough alone. Mine was to break the old mirror and take it down in pieces using a hot blow dryer and a scraper. I won out, and after getting Ron some goggles, gloves and a towel the mirror was successfully removed. My next project desire was to hang a new picture on the wall behind the dining table. Again, we found the picture hung by the rv manufacturer to be a chore to remove only this time the securing mechanism was a hanger bracket and some sticky velcro tape (and I mean really sticky). This project too was completed and I must say that even Ron is happy with the effects. I do want to say that in the process of aesthetic remodeling we're learning that sticky is better then gluey. We have since gone to Lowes to purchase the sticky velcro in order to hang a few things, including the new mirror in the bathroom. It works great, and the rv is looking more homey and more cozy all the time.
